Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis witnessed a sharp decline in its box office performance on its first Monday. As per early estimates from trade website Sacnilk, the film managed to collect Rs 1.13 crore in India on day five. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, the war-based drama has now taken its five-day total collection to around Rs 21.50 crore at the domestic box office.
Despite opening on a decent note, Ikkis saw uneven trends over the weekend before registering a significant dip on Monday. The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.17% on its first weekday.
Morning shows remained slow with 4.78% occupancy, while afternoon screenings showed some improvement at 8.58%. The footfall picked up slightly during the evening at 11.21%, and night shows turned out to be the strongest with 12.11% occupancy, indicating limited but steady interest later in the day.
In terms of regional performance, the Delhi-NCR region led the screenings, hosting 635 shows with an average occupancy of 10%. Mumbai followed closely with 346 shows and a slightly higher occupancy of 10.25%. Across India, Ikkis is currently running in over 2,000 shows, reflecting its wide release.
Despite receiving positive reviews and favorable word of mouth, the film is facing stiff competition at the box office. Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues its strong run even in the fourth week, earning Rs 4.5 crore on Day 32 and edging closer to the Rs 800 crore domestic milestone.
Ikkis is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. The film’s title signifies his age, 21, when he attained martyrdom during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. Agastya Nanda takes on the role of the valiant officer, while Simar Bhatia plays his love interest, Kiran.
