Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, released on December 5, 2025, continues its box office dominance, outperforming hits like Pathaan, Jawan, and Chhaava. Despite widespread acclaim, the film has faced criticism over its political narrative. Reports now indicate that the makers plan to re-release it with revisions.

Dhurandhar is set for a theatrical re-release in a revised version.
Bollywood Hungama reported that on December 31, 2025, distributors emailed cinema halls nationwide about replacing the film’s DCP. As per sources, the update was made after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting directed the makers to mute two words and alter a dialogue. Cinemas have been instructed to download and screen the revised version starting January 1, 2026. One of the words removed from Dhurandhar is ‘Baloch’.
