Prabhas is all set to return with his next Telugu film, The Raja Saab, a fantasy horror comedy directed by Maruthi, releasing on January 9, 2026, just before Sankranti. The film stars three leading ladies – Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar – and has already created a lot of buzz as one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of the year. With over 23 years in the industry, Prabhas became a household name after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series. Ahead of The Raja Saab, let’s take a look at Prabhas’ box office report card from his last five films.
Kalki 2898 AD
Prabhas played the lead in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi mythological extravaganza, Kalki 2898 AD, sharing screen space with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. The film received mixed to positive reviews from audiences but generated massive pre-release buzz, helping it rake in impressive numbers at the box office. As per Sacnilk reports, Kalki 2898 AD has earned Rs 646.31 crore in India. The makers are now gearing up for the second installment of the franchise, though reports suggest that Deepika Padukone will not be part of Part 2, sparking curiosity among fans about the new cast and storyline.
Saaho
Saaho was a highly anticipated film for Prabhas fans, being his first release after the massive success of Baahubali: The Conclusion. Released in 2019, the film received mixed reviews from audiences. Thanks to Prabhas’ enormous fan following, it performed well at the box office, though the general audience response was lukewarm. The film featured a star-studded cast including Shraddha Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arjun Vijay, Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Prakash Belawadi, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mandira Bedi, Lal, Tinnu Anand, Evelyn Sharma, and Ravi Varma. As per Sacnilk reports, Saaho wrapped its theatrical run with a domestic collection of Rs 310.60 crore.
Radhe Shyam
Radhe Shyam was a romantic drama featuring Prabhas in the lead role opposite Pooja Hegde. The film released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada and was directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. Despite the hype, it failed to make an impact at the box office and was declared a flop by Box Office India. According to Sacnilk reports, the film managed to earn only Rs 104 crore in India. Apart from the leads, the film also featured Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar, Kunal Roy Kapoor, and others in important roles, but the story and reception couldn’t match audience expectations.
Adipurush
Adipurush was touted as one of the most ambitious projects in Bollywood, directed by Om Raut. The film, a grand adaptation of the Ramayana, turned out to be a box office disaster. Prabhas essayed the role of Lord Rama, while Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan played Janaki and Lankesh, respectively. Despite the hype, the film faced heavy criticism for its portrayal of epic characters and the actors’ performances. According to Sacnilk reports, Adipurush managed to collect Rs 288.15 crore at the domestic box office, failing to meet expectations despite its scale and star cast.
Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire
Prabhas made his Kannada film debut with Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. The film also featured Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. Like his previous projects, Salaar remained in the headlines for various reasons, generating massive curiosity among fans. Thanks to strong promotion and widespread buzz, the film performed well at the box office. According to Sacnilk reports, Salaar earned Rs 406.45 crore at the domestic box office, marking a successful debut for Prabhas in the Kannada industry.
