Marking its first major update since launch, Tata Motors has rolled out the Punch facelift in India at a starting price of ₹5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The micro-SUV now sports a restyled exterior, upgraded interior, added features, and a new engine choice. Customers can book online or at dealerships, with deliveries expected shortly.
Tata Motors has rolled out the Punch facelift in eight variants, ranging from Smart to Accomplished Plus S. Buyers can opt for a single-pane sunroof on Pure+ and Adventure trims for an additional ₹35,000. The refreshed Punch starts at ₹5.59 lakh, marking only a ₹10,000 rise from its 2021 debut price. While the top-end NA petrol variant is now more affordable, the newly introduced turbo-petrol version is priced ₹40,000 higher and brings extra features.

The Tata Punch facelift retains its familiar silhouette but introduces major styling updates at the front and rear. Inspired by the Punch EV, it now sports slim DRLs, a blacked-out grille, muscular bumper cladding, and a functional air intake. New LED headlamps with angular housings and a silver skid plate enhance its rugged appeal. The profile remains largely unchanged, save for fresh 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, while the rear gets a redesigned tailgate, bumper, and connected LED taillamps.

The 2026 Tata Punch facelift introduces subtle yet impactful interior changes. The cabin now sports a gloss-black two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, complemented by touch-based climate controls. A free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment display and digital instrument cluster elevate the tech quotient, while features like a single-pane sunroof, premium sound system, cruise control, and push-button start/stop add convenience. On the safety front, the Punch now offers six airbags, ESC, ABS, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and reverse parking sensors.

On the safety front, the Punch has secured a five-star rating under Bharat NCAP for both adult and child occupant protection. Tata Motors also demonstrated the Punch’s safety credentials by crashing it into a stationary truck at a speed of 50 kmph. The updated Punch has a water wading capacity of up to 400 mm deep and offers a ground clearance of 193 mm. Boot space stands at 366 litres in the petrol versions, while the CNG variants provide a reduced boot space of 210 litres.
The new Tata Punch retains its 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 88 PS and 115 Nm. In CNG form, the same unit delivers 73 PS and 103 Nm, paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual. The petrol variant continues to offer both manual and AMT gearbox choices. Additionally, Tata has introduced a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 120 PS and 170 Nm, coupled with a 6-speed manual.
