New Delhi: Jailed conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar seeks to settle the ₹200-crore extortion case by offering ₹217 crore to complainant Aditi Singh through an application filed before ASJ Prashant Sharma at Patiala House Courts
The application, filed by Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s counsel Anant Malik, specifies that the settlement offer is made “without prejudice” to his legal rights and should not be seen as an admission of guilt. The case is scheduled for consideration on January 3, 2026.
The petition asks the court to allow the parties to consider a settlement arising from an FIR registered with the Special Cell at Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.
Chandrasekhar, presently in judicial custody, has requested the court to notify the complainant and formally acknowledge that the settlement offer is genuine and contingent upon her approval.
Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been booked by Delhi Police for allegedly swindling ₹200 crore from the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder and Malvinder Singh. Authorities confirm that several independent investigations against him are in progress across India.
Delhi Police apprehended Sukesh Chandrasekhar along with his associate A. Paulose in the extortion case. Both are also facing proceedings under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and remain under the Enforcement Directorate’s investigation.
The police have also applied the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) to the case.
According to Delhi Police, Chandrasekhar, Paulose, and other accused employed hawala routes and shell company structures to park and layer crime proceeds. The court is still considering the settlement application.
