The first-look poster of actress Rukmini Vasanth from Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been released. The Yash-led film is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19, with Rukmini portraying the character Mellisa in the action thriller.

The first-look poster of Rukmini Vasanth was released on January 6 via the makers’ official Instagram account. The image depicts her moving gracefully through a party setting, dressed in a turquoise gown and styled with a retro updo.
The post announced, “Rukmini Vasanth introduced as Mellisa in Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.”
The makers had earlier introduced character posters of Kiara Advani (Nadia), Huma Qureshi (Elizabeth), Nayanthara (Ganga), and Tara Sutaria (Rebecca) before releasing Rukmini’s look.

In an interview with Variety, he expressed admiration for Rukmini Vasanth’s thoughtful approach to acting. He explained that her curiosity-driven questions encourage deeper reflection, even on his own decisions as a director, and emphasized that her performances demonstrate how cinematic intelligence often resides in what remains unspoken.
The director noted that between takes, Rukmini often writes in her journal, recording thoughts and anecdotes from the set. He described this as part of her process of building an inner world, calling her approach deeply thoughtful and admitting he sometimes wishes he could read those pages to better understand the mind behind her layered performances.
Venkat K Narayana and Yash are producing Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film was made in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
