Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, has bagged his first award for his directorial debut series, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. While accepting the accolade, Aryan confessed that he shares his father’s love for trophies. However, he was quick to clarify that this achievement wasn’t about Shah Rukh at all. Instead, Aryan dedicated the milestone win to his mother, Gauri Khan, highlighting the special bond he shares with her.
Aryan Khan Honors Mom with His Debut Award Win
Aryan Khan was honoured with the Best Debutant Director of the Year award at the NDTV Indian of the Year event held in New Delhi on Friday. He was accompanied to the ceremony by his nani, Savita Chhibber. Several clips of Aryan’s speech while accepting the award have since gone viral on social media.
“Good evening, everyone. First, I want to thank my cast, crew, and Netflix for trusting a first-time director and for putting in so much love, effort, and enthusiasm while working with me. Congratulations to all the winners tonight,” Aryan said.
He expressed his excitement, saying, “This is my first award, and I hope I receive many more because, just like my dad, I love awards. But this one isn’t for him — it’s for my mom. She has always guided me to sleep early, never make fun of anyone, and stay away from bad language. Today, I received this award because of those lessons. Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world. I also know that when I get home, I might get a few gentle scoldings from her!”
