Dhurandhar crushes Baahubali at box office in 13 days, eyes Rs 1,000 crore
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar is rewriting box office history, with its A‑rated, bold storytelling shattering records across the board. The film’s most striking milestone so far is overtaking the lifetime India collection of Baahubali: The Beginning, marking a rare triumph for an adult-certified Bollywood release.
The SS Rajamouli directorial, which kickstarted the pan-India cinema phenomenon, earned around Rs 421 crore in India and Rs 650 crore worldwide during its lifetime run. Dhurandhar has crossed that figure in just 13 days. At the end of its second Wednesday, the film stood at Rs 437.25 crore nett in India and Rs 674.50 crore worldwide.

At the moment, the spy thriller stands at ₹675 crore gross in just 13 days. With strong momentum, it’s now targeting the prestigious ₹1,000‑crore mark and is projected to reach it by the end of its third weekend.

Fueled by exceptional audience buzz, Dhurandhar recently achieved the highest second‑weekend collection ever for a Hindi film, overtaking the Hindi release of Pushpa: The Rule.
The story centres on an Indian intelligence operative who goes undercover inside Rahman Dakait’s Baloch network in Lyari, Karachi. The narrative also uncovers the deep links between criminal syndicates, political players and extremist groups that support cross‑border terrorism against India.
The film’s sequel is slated to hit theatres on March 19.
