Actress Rimi Sen, who rose to fame with popular films such as Dhoom, Hungama and Phir Hera Pheri, has largely stayed away from the film industry in recent years. Once a familiar face in Bollywood, Rimi Sen has transitioned into a new professional chapter as a real estate agent in Dubai. In an exclusive discussion with Buildcaps Real Estate LLC, she spoke about the reasons behind her decision to pursue this career path.
“Dubai embraces everyone,” Rimi Sen remarked, pointing out its diverse mix of expatriates and Emiratis. With mosques, temples, and a culture of inclusivity, she said the city makes life simpler and more comfortable—unlike the constant policy changes and taxes back home. For her, Dubai is the perfect place to grow a business.

Before stepping away from Bollywood, Rimi Sen tried her hand at reality television. In 2015, she joined Bigg Boss 9 with Suyyash Rai as her partner. Just five days into the show, her pairing shifted to Rochelle Rao. Rimi remained in the house for about seven and a half weeks.
In 2016, she tried her luck on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9’ as a wild card entry, but she didn’t make it to the main rounds.
Rimi Sen made her acting debut with Paromitar Ek Din (2000) and went on to leave a mark in Bollywood with memorable roles. Over the next decade, she featured in popular films such as Hungama (2003), Baghban (2003), Dhoom (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006), and Johnny Gaddaar (2007).
Even films like ‘Deewane Huye Paagal’ (2005), ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ (2006), ‘Sankat City’ (2009), ‘Budhia Singh: Born to Run’ (2016) brought her fame.
