On the first day overseas, Dhurandhar earned ₹7.75 crore, narrowly surpassing Akhanda 2, which collected ₹7.50 crore. The close figures reflect similar international interest for both films, with Dhurandhar gaining a slight edge in overseas markets despite Akhanda 2’s stronger domestic performance.
On Day 1 in India, Akhanda 2 registered a higher gross collection of ₹36.30 crore, outperforming Dhurandhar, which earned ₹33.50 crore. The difference indicates stronger initial footfalls for Akhanda 2 across domestic markets, helping it take an early lead in the India box office race.
On Day 1, Akhanda 2 posted a worldwide collection of ₹43.80 crore, showing solid global reach. In comparison, Dhurandhar recorded an India gross of ₹33.50 crore on its opening day. The figures highlight Akhanda 2’s stronger overall start when overseas earnings are included.

Budgets Of Akhanda 2
As per reports, Akhanda 2 is made on a massive budget ranging between ₹120 crore and ₹200 crore. According to trade norms, the film must earn nearly double its budget to be considered a hit. If it was made at ₹120 crore, it needs around ₹240 crore worldwide. However, reports suggest it may not enter the ₹100 crore club, which could result in losses. In contrast, Akhanda (2021) was made on ₹60–70 crore and earned about ₹150 crore, emerging as a profitable hit and winning a Telangana state award.
About Akhanda 2
Set after the Galwan clash, the story follows a Chinese general who wants revenge for his son’s death and plans to create chaos in India. With the help of a clever strategist and a corrupt local minister, he spreads a dangerous virus in the Ganga during the Maha Kumbh, shaking people’s faith.
As panic grows, the Prime Minister learns that Janani, a young DRDO scientist, has created a vaccine. When enemies attack her in Ladakh, Akhanda returns. Though older, he rises again to protect Janani, defeat the enemies, save the nation, and restore people’s faith in Sanatana Dharma.
